The Story of the Stone People

Comes a Time to Sit Still ... A Journery'ers Lesson to Receive

There Comes A Time .. and the time has come... and no where do I see the end of time in a timeless frame of mind. It always ticks away at the base of the moment... deepening the rivers and quickening the flow of the tasks at hand ... and the duties that call.

Here this selfie, flute in hand, Canon 70D dangling precariously off my shoulder...I walk the dry river bed in an unmade place in Arizona. A place where Geronimo once walked. It is July and the Thunder Moon does not disappoint, nor does the Eagle fail to call. Thunder and lightening across a vast sky of mountains scapes and petroglyphs that have no age

Time... time, to sit still, but when you have to sit stiller than even the mountains, than even the stones, you know it is time to sit with self, and witness with The Creator.

Many times I have had to sit still, illness being the greatest time consumer. Financial ruins past the illness and whoops, a slip and slide off the main-stream and a single woman destined to be alone for the rest of eternity.

What is it to sit still? Meditation comes easily when practiced with space, room to breath, ribs to expand, mind to exhale, the true meaning of nothingness. Meditation is a choice.

What if? Your ribs won't contract, you have no space, and your mind... wanders. Even tho you know, even though you've practiced successfully for years, to mediate and to be still. Without FREEDOM, those things get lost to the mindlessness of worry, of scattered thoughts and shaken hands. What if? Sitting Still was not your choice.

Creator, that is when I got to know you best. Now the Lesson ... as hard as can be, has become a gift.
